Can you apply the 3 month gift card to my Apple Music account or give me a new code?

I recently got a new Sony device from Best Buy which included a free 3 month Apple much subscription for current and new users. I attempted to redeem the code and was moved to a payment screen with 2 month free much once I double clicked the power button it told me code could not be redeemed. Could you help me resolve this so I can use the Apple Music car or apply it to the account?
