How to fix 'Calendar search' not working on iPhone 16 Plus after iOS 26.1 update?

Has there been any update on Apple fixing the ‘Calendar search’ facility on iOS 26.1 for my new Apple iphone16Plus?

I've tried a number of suggested solutions but none have worked - should I just have to wait for 26.2..?😟
