MacBook Excel to CSV: Semicolon values split into columns

My MacBook Does Not Convert the Excel File Into a Proper CSV File

In the output CSV file, the values are supposed to stay in the same cell separated by semicolons (;).

However, the values appear in separate columns instead.

I tried:

• Google Sheets

• Microsoft Excel

• Apple Numbers

and I got the same result in all of them.

I’m wondering if the MacBook is automatically editing or separating the values into different columns while opening the file.

Maybe It’s because of the region settings. some regions use , rahter than ; as separator.

How can I convert Excel File Into CSV File on Macbook?

My region settings are like this;

MacBook Pro 14″
