Cannot add payment method to Apple account

Hi all!

i have a problem with adding payment method. I had few debit cards added, they worked perfectly, but after i made a purchase yesterday an error occurred. First payments just failed, even if i had money on my bank account. I tried different cards and none of them worked. I deleted all my payment methods to see if thats the issue but now I cant add any new payment methods.

Now it says „Cannot Verify Payment Information. Contact Apple Support for more information.„. But i cant even download Apple Support app, because it requires payment method to be added. And, as i said, when im trying to add it it says the error above.

How can i contact support the other way or solve the problem? I’ve tried everything.

p. S. I live in Russia, but all of my accounts are linked to Kazakhstan (both apple and bank ones), so we dont have any offices here

Typically a payment method presents the fewest problems if it is from the same country to which your account is set (some will say that it must be from the same country, but Apple appears to very carefully avoid stating that clearly).

If you reside in Russia your account is supposed to be set to Russia and you are best off using a Russian payment method.

With an account set to Kazakhstan you can only try to get online support for Kazakhstan support, if any exists. Refer to this page for Apple Support features ➔ Contact - Official Apple Support

Select from the presented options until you find a solution for your issue, or see if there is a chat or phone call contact method offered lower on the page under “Get more help” (you sometimes have to narrow down the options multiple times before this is shown). If you do not see your issue, keep experimenting with any series of selections until you reach one that offers a chat session or a telephone call and get the representative to redirect you.
