Thank you for your post to the community, and for sharing what you have already tried.

Keeping the Mac (or device) OS version, and the AirPods Pro firmware, both up to date often avoids difficulties.

Eg: Seems you are using MacOS 15.7 on your MacBook Air

So, if you haven't already: ... you may need to update to MacOS 15.7.2.

What's new in the updates for macOS Sequoia - Apple Support

Eg says:

macOS Sequoia 15.7.2 : "This update provides important security fixes and is recommended for all users."

You can check for updates in System Settings > General > Software updates.

Reminder: If you choose to update, it is always wise to back-up your Mac first

and

Tip: Leave AirPods Pro connected to power overnight with the iPhone connected to wi-fi close by,

so they can update automatically (or : a Mac can update the firmware more quickly)

If your Mac or device you want to connect AirPods Pro with is already up-to-date:

• restarting a device or Mac often restores order if something is not working as expected
• does turning Bluetooth off and back on help connect the AirPods ?

(While wearing AirPods: Tap it, if you see "Not Connected")

• are you only connecting AirPods to one device at a time.?

We can't guess from the info. available ...

• are the AirPods charging ok ? Charge your AirPods - Apple Support
• have the AirPods been set-up and connected to the Mac before ?
• are the AirPods going into discovery mode ok (blinking white : ready to pair) ?
