iCloud Setup error: Outlook default profile
Need a fix for: iCloud Setup can't continue because Outlook isn't configured to have a default profile..." error?

The FIX for me. (Windows 11, Outlook 2024, iCloud for Windows)
thread from 2022 was closed and didn't see an answer there or on Microsoft's forum for this question, so started this thread hoping to help others with the fix I found.
You need to have your iCloud email setup in Outlook and then iCloud will use that as the "default profile" whether it's the default or not. (No other pst or ost will work). To setup iCloud email in OL, you must login to your Apple account and under Sign-In & Security, generate an app specific password. Use that password to setup your iCloud email account in Outlook.
