Beach balling, Cursor freeze in MacBook Air M4 - in Sequoia and after upgrade to Tahoe.

I have been using Pages and Keynote since the beginning without any issue. With my new MacBook Air, M4 I can barely type for longer than 2 or 3 minutes before a cursor freeze. I cannot scroll past 4 or 5 pages without a beachball. I have force quit these apps several times. I have restarted several times. I even upgraded to Tahoe, my Air came with Sequoia. But in Tahoe it feels worse. Does anyone know if there is a fix? In 25 years of using a Mac this is the first time that I have to post for online help.

Thanks, Azaksalmarzur. I shall try turning off ‘Use Grayscale’, as you suggest. But in my case that was not the issue. Apple Support asked me to set up a different user account to see if the problem persisted with the ‘new user’. When I set up this ‘new user’ and returned to the ‘original user (me)’, all problems vanished. I do not know why. My only guess is that there was some ‘permission issue’ somewhere. Can’t put a finger to it. But for now, the problem seems to have taken care of itself.
