Razer Mamba mouse sensitivity drops in macOS Tahoe
Since updating to the latest macOS Tahoe I’ve been having several issues, but the most disruptive one is that my mouse sensitivity keeps dropping to the lowest level by itself.
I’m using a Razer Mamba (wired and wireless). The DPI buttons sometimes work but most of the time they don’t respond. The sensitivity only changes if I adjust it in System Settings > Mouse, but it often resets back to the slowest speed (but the tracking speed still on the fastest), making the cursor extremely hard to move. This started around two days after the update.
What I’ve tried:
– Safe Mode (mouse behaves normally there)
– Tested on Windows and on my MacBook (mouse is normal)
– Tried Synapse 2 even though it’s not supported
– Switched USB ports and cables
– Checked Activity Monitor
– Reset NVRAM
– Verified no suspicious kexts
Another thing I noticed: some app icons in the Dock turn white in normal boot, but look normal in Safe Mode.
I work as a music producer and precise mouse control is important for my workflow, so this issue is quite disruptive. Any help would be appreciated.
