Unable to make purchases with Apple ID

What happens when you try?

• It may be the case your account is disabled and you need to follow the steps here:

If a message says 'Your Media & Purchases account has been disabled' - Apple Support

• You may still need to have a credit card on file. It is also used to make sure you are using the correct App Store based on your region, which is why it says if you change regions you may be required to add a card to use the App Store. The card is not charged if there are funds in your Apple Account to make a purchase.
