iPhone sending iMessage to Android phone instead of SMS

My husband has a Samsung phone and has always used Android, while I’ve always had an iPhone. Recently, when I text him, my messages show up as blue iMessages—even though his phone can’t receive them. What do I need to do to make sure my texts are sent as regular SMS messages again so he can actually receive them? I’m afraid if I turn off my iMessage then my other friends won’t get my texts.

Turning off iMessage won’t stop friends from texting you, what you can do is check if his phone number is associated with an apple device (someone could be scamming him by using iMessage so he can’t receive the messages they send but

they can receive all his.

That is a possibility, it is not likely because of apple’s privacy settings but someone fused in tech might be able to do it. )
