Spotlight Not Working for Searching Applications

Ever since I upgraded to Sequoia 15.7.2 I cannot search up apps using Spotlight anymore. I troubleshooted some solutions like adding the applications folder to the excluded list then deleting, but it will not even allow me to add the applications folder to be excluded. Does anyone have any solutions?
