A quick question if you will - What is the recommended (most stable) MacOS for the Mac Studio M4 Max? Just bought one and updated it to Tahoe 26.1, and it is acting a little bit wonky. TIA for the response.

Are you using a newer Magic Keyboard with Touch ID?
...or an older Magic Keyboard without Touch ID?
Older keyboard from my 2019 iMac (intel based) without Touch ID. Good point.

MacOS 26.1 is the latest stable release of the OS.
Be patient and work through the rough spots. Keep the Mac updated as those updates are released and you'll probably find that any issues you have will be resolved.
The only option is really a non-option that involves completely erasing the computer, reinstalling an OS, reinstalling your data and praying that something doesn't go completely sideways when you try to do all that.
Is there some particular issue that you are having and need some help with?
FYI, restarting the Mac is the first step in troubleshooting.
Thank you for the information. Actually there is an issue that I ran into that has me puzzled: I cannot use Apple Pay to make a purchase on my Mac. When I try to add a card to Apple Pay I get the message that Apple Pay is not available on my Mac because I am not using a Magic keyboard. The puzzling part is that I AM using a Magic keyboard and this is confirmed/shown in the bluetooth settings for the keyboard. Found an old Support Post acknowledging this issue but the thread was closed with no resolution.
Given this issue and that the initial Studio setup downloaded/installed Sequoia 15.7.2 (which I later upgraded to Tahoe 26.1), I thought that maybe I had made a mistake by installing something less stable than Sequoia. Thus my post.
