Unauthorized purchase from minor and apple refuses to give me my 100$ back

What do I do when apple refused to refund. 108. Charge for some kinda melons on a child’s phone ? This is hurt us significantly I am a single woman raising two grandkids and never had this happen before it to the point I wanna switch to android report them to bb and be done with apple ! He not playing I removed any card info that ain’t prepaid but they set you up for this to happen cause without a card even for free apps you have to have cc on file ! It’s a gimmick and now has robbed me of 108$ while working 55/60 hours a week raising two kids ! Totally unfair and giving me back the .99 cent and dollar and change like that makes up for you taking my rent money and bill money !!!! What we had to eat off of will not go to baby formula it now has to go to bills cause I was stolen from !help!!!

This is simply a mistake and a learning experience. A painful one I know, but like leaving your house door unlocked and a burglar getting in, or not reading the street signs and getting a parking or speeding ticket.

If an app is truly free then you may not need to have a card on file all the time. Once Apple has seen it Apple may be content. It's only if you have a free trial that might turn into a subscription, or an outright subscription, that you then need card. Apple’s position appears to be that people need to be proactive with purchases, canceling subscriptions at least 24 hours before trials end, and ensuring that others are not able to make purchases on a user’s account. Note that if you allow—intentionally or not—another person access to purchasing on a device, or through Family Sharing if you are the Organizer, you are taking responsibility for things they do. Apple offers these proactive features:

On your device you can use Screen Time to prevent unintentional or unauthorized purchases from the App Store, in-app, and other Apple services. —> Use Screen Time to turn off in-app purchases on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Also on your device, require a password for App Store and iTunes purchases —> Require a password for purchases in the App Store and other Apple services - Apple Support

Use Screen Time as part of parental controls on your child's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch —> Use parental controls to manage your child's iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

If a child made this purchase on their device, consider activating Ask To Buy—> Approve what kids buy with Ask to Buy - Apple Support

Remove payment methods from a device if you can.

Hello~ Apple doesn’t guarantee refunds. You can click on below and review to prevent this from happening in the future…

If you give your iPhone to anyone unlocked …you are responsible for the charges. It’s like handing someone your credit card. We are your fellow users and don’t have access to to your account…so we didn’t take your rent money.
