Numbers pop-up menus populate with unrelated data

Apple numbers software when using or recreating pop up menus in a column the software continues to add info in popup drop down unrelated to the cell and column I set it up for such as adding dates and other text it is drawing from other columns even after deleting and adding a new. And there’s no mass delete of the information I don’t want so I have to delete almost 100 individual text words from the popup one by one and then for every popup menu in other columns also only for them to continue to reappear after the exhausting hours of removing. This also occurs after turning of auto corrections in settings

I believe there is a limit to the number of items in a Pop-Up menu. How could you possibly have almost 100?

Pop-Up menu is a data format for cells.

From your product description I assume you are using Numbers on the iPad.

If you are on a Mac then perhaps at Numbers > Settings ... > General you have turned on 'Show suggestions when editing table cells'? That has an effect somewhat similar to, but different from, the Pop-Up Menu data format. The suggestions are drawn from the column you are working into.

A screenshot would help us see what you are seeing.
