Cannot view billing details for inherited Apple ID

Hello,

I inherited my father's ipad 5 years ago. At the time I added a payment method but made no other changes to the account and sign in using my father's user name and password. The problem is that payments billed only show up on the credit card statement as Apple.com/bill with no way to see what it was for. I assume that any receipts etc are going to the old email account which may or may not even still exist. I tried to add my email address to the account but it won't allow it. How do I get it so I can see what I am getting billed for etc?

Ps I signed into this Apple community using my father's username and password.

You view your purchase history to see what the charges are for here. Since you are using your Fathers account, it will take those account credentials to access it.

There is no such thing as inherited an Apple ID. Each Account is for an individual and not transferable. You have to create your own Apple Account and reset the device where you are the owner with that account being signed in. The iPad will be wiped, so you want to make sure you saved valuable data to another location. Technically that data does not even belong to you as it is assigned to the Apple Account owner. When setting up the iPad after reset, you will have the option to create an Apple Account that is yours.
