Unable to watch Apple TV

I have a subscription to Apple TV, but I'm unable to watch it. I log in, and when I go to watch an episode, it asks me to accept a free trial

On Mac in the TV app, please be sure to sign in to the app. That isn’t automatic, in contrast with iPhone, iPad, etc.

You may sign in to the app from the Account menu, using your Apple Account,

or you may sign in to the app from the Apple Account mention at the bottom of the side bar.

Either option has the same effect.
