using microsoft office on mac book, can i insert object files as a document iconsimilar to windows laptop? Example insert pdf file as an icon into the excel, or insert excel file as an icon into a word doc?

It appears you can. Farther down the "Insert..." menu options is "Object." That gives you this in Word:
for inserting Office functions. There is a "Display as icon" option that I highlighted in the screenshot. "From File..." in the lower left should let you access other file types and insert similarly.

Hi! Thanks for your reply! I had checked Office help and googled for solution too. Answers I received seem to point this is a MacBook limitation. Asking the expert community here if there’s a workaround or plug in available? Thanks!
