iTunes Application "Network connection was reset" Persistent Error
Alright this error is not exactly new, and plenty of support threads have covered, but suffice to say I have exhausted them. Here's the issue:
Downloading songs on iTunes application, Windows 11 PC causes instant "Network connection was reset" error preventing me from downloading songs. It happens about 19/20 times, though once in awhile a *single* song will download.
The following has been ruled out:
-Internet connection is stable gigabit Spectrum that has zero problems elsewhere
-DNS Settings have been set to automatic, OpenDNS, and Google DNS settings with no success
-Windows is updated
-iTunes is updated
-Firmware is updated
-Have disabled Windows firewall (re-enabled after verifying this was not the issue)
-No VPN's or secondary security software suites present
-Multiple downloads are disabled
-Have performed full uninstall/reinstall of iTunes including removing registry entries and obtaining fresh iTunes installer
-Plenty of reboots (duh)
-Cleared every cache I could think of including Windows, Browser, and iTunes caches
-Connected to alternate network (hotspot) <- Most infuriatingly this DID work for about 60 seconds and I got half a playlist downloaded before the issue came back with equal persistence as before on both my normal network and hotspot
I work IT by trade and I despise work following me home. I left Spotify because they have slowly dismantled and ruined their own platform's functionality with greedy shortsighted decisions. I have over 15 years of music on my apple account. The need for this to function, normally and without constant tinkering is high and my faith is low. If there is any old wizened engineer on this site with the patience and knowledge to share an actual solution instead of a functionally impaired Broswer AI telling me the same 3 solutions I beg of you to share.
