Why won't Apple Wallet create a Digital ID for me?
My US Passport is valid and I answered all questions. The system didn't think I can smile or close my eyes for some reason. Very frustrating and disappointing experience.

Digital ID (the feature based on a passport or a state ID) in Apple Wallet is only supported in the United States. If your device region isn’t set to the U.S., the option won’t appear.

Read the OP. The post states that the user was able to add the passport but it would not validate.
win2mac2004: Validation is handled by the government. You should try again. Reports abound that sometimes it takes multiple tries until the ID is validated.
