I have two new iphone 17 Pro devices. I moved the data but both phones seem to be set up as me for notifications etc. One should be my husband. How do I change this to resolve the problem?

It isn't a matter of having your own phones, it is a matter of each of you having your own Apple Accounts. If you share a single account then Apple's iCloud services will do its best to try to make sure the content on each device is identical.
So again, do you have separate accounts, or are you sharing a single account.
If you were sharing an account in the past but now each have your own account, you may be seeing old content from back when you were sharing an account.

yes. I did follow instructions to prepare phone before give away. Old devices are reset. However, when I try to remove these old devices from the account, Apple says, "Becuase stolen Device protection is turned on, your new device can't be used to edit your account until November 21, 2025. This wait time helps protect your account". So I will try after that date.
Yes, we each have our own phones. But husband phone is showing on my phone apple share as my name, so I think something is wrong.
