MX472 printer/Scanner on Mac

Trying to Scan and this is the error message when trying to scan on my Canon MX472 printer/scanner. "failed to open a connection to the device (-21345) could the problem be that I just had a software update to Tahoe 26.1.please help. thank you

iMac 24″, macOS 26.1

Please verify that you installed the latest driver software (and apps) for this Canon device, in case that they made accommodations in there to the latest version macOS.
