Home video titles in TV app

Home Video Titles on TV app have disappeared after upgrade to iOS 26

I have over 100 home videos on my iPad, each with a title. In iOS 26 the titles are not visible without clicking on the image, which defeats the purpose of having a title in the first place.

A few of the images are sufficient to identify the video in question, most are not. This means that to find a particular one I want to replay, I have to click through several dozens of images, which is time consuming and very, very poor human interface design. A design that was almost perfect is ruined, and for no obvious reason, unless Apple wants home videos off the platform.

Upgrade to iOS 26.1 has made it actually worse. In iOS 26.0.1, a long press on the image blows it up to reveal the title. In iOS 26.1, the long press no longer works, you must double click and launch the video to see what it is.

Anyone have a solution?

no, and yet well on my devices the movie(s) display under both home videos where it is as you desribe

but for me they also show up in downloaded, where the title is displayed.

if it's not like that for you then I believe best you can do is to let them know you feel their design steps have been weight and found wanting
