Apple Studio Display: Brightness control, Camera, Mic, and Audio Not Working After macOS Tahoe Update

After updating to macOS Tahoe, my Apple Studio Display’s brightness control is greyed out, and the camera, microphone, and audio output are not working. I am using the original Thunderbolt cable that came with the display. I have tested it with three different MacBook Pros, all updated to Tahoe. The display works as a monitor, and USB devices connected to it function, but I cannot adjust brightness, and the camera, microphone, and audio output are not detected. I am looking for help resolving this.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 26.2

All of those require USB connection to the display.

That is NOT automatic, because unauthorized USB devices could attack your Mac.

Since macOS Ventura 13, USB Restricted Mode protection is enabled by default on Apple Silicon MacBooks.

This requires users to explicitly allow new USB peripherals.
