Calendar appointment failed to alert me in line with settings.

iPhone 11 , iOS 26.1

I THINK my phone failed to alert me of an appointment. The appointment was set for earlier today, and it had 2 "Alerts" set, one for a day before.. and one for an hour before travel time.

I never got either of the alerts. Is that plausible?

Some extra info... If I recall, the appointment was set but copying an old one... i.e. when I went to enter it, it came up with details of the same appointment last year... so I just checked it for the new date/time (including the alert settings) and accepted it.

So I can see it in my schedule correctly (with correct alert settings), but I didnt get either of the alerts..

Is it possible the new copy does not "reset" the alerts, so thinks it already alerted (as it did last year)? Something like that?

I have not done further tests to check... thought I would come here and ask the experts.

Please check which is your Default email Account for the Calendar on your device. Settings > App > Calendar > Default Calendar

All devices sync with an email client server that hosts your calendar if you have an iCloud calendar that will not sync with Google Calendar. Settings > Calendar > Default Calendar [Choose what you want]. What you add (Event) on the iPhone Calendar is synced with the default calendar unless you have chosen a specific calendar at the time of event creation.

To which email account are the calendar events synced with your iPhone? This is not clear in your post

See the iPhone and Mac Calendar Pics below.
