iMovie importing photos shows black slides

Importing Photos into iMovie

I am attempting to import photos into iMovie, version 10.4.3. They are coming in as a black slide with a question mark in the middle. I read about this problem with an earlier version of iMovie. The suggestion was to export the photos to the desktop and then bring them into iMovie. So I tried that and the odd photo would export, but for the majority, I get an "Unknown error (3302)".

I made a movie a month or so ago and had no problem. Can anyone give me any insights into this? I'm trying to make a movie for my granddaughter…for tomorrow!!!!!

Thanks in advance.

I have had that problem, it is when the media is not available to the movie, it is confusing considering the fact that the media is copied into the project.🤔 I don’t have any suggestions except that from experience, don’t start on the day of or before your due date. Movies aren’t a grab, dump, export, Valà! They take time and consideration to make the perfect outcome with your available software.

If you are trying to make a slideshow, then here are a few tips:

  1. Get all the images and videos you want into one album in Photos
  2. Select all of them and click the make slideshow or share → slideshow which ever is first.
  3. wait for it to generate then customize it.
  4. try a memory, there should be way to make one, I think you can customize them even more then you can slideshows.
