Ventura 13.7.8 Update slows computer

I have a Mac mini with an Apple M1 chip and 16 GB memory and 2TB storage. I recently updated to the Ventura 13.7.8 operating system and now my Mac runs very slowly and has to "think" about every mouse click with the spinning rainbow of death.

How can I fix this...it was fine with the older version of Ventura.

It shouldn't be. We have a 16GB/1 TB 2017 iMac and Sequoia 13.7.8 runs fine.

Try booting into Safe Mode then restart normally. Sometimes that will fix anomalies.

Make sure NOT to use any 3rd party virus apps or "cleaners" which often corrupt the system.
