Find my Mac Toggle / grayed out

Hi, my Find My Mac toggle is grayed out or unresponsive even though I’m signed into iCloud and Location Services are on.


It says ‘Find My Mac: Off’ on my Apple ID device list, and I can’t enable it.


I’ve already restarted, signed out/in, reset NVRAM, tried Safe Mode, and reinstalled macOS — but the switch still won’t toggle.


It looks like my Activation Lock registration didn’t complete for this Mac.


Can you help reset or re-enable the Activation Lock record for my serial number [F69*******]?

You are not speaking directly to Apple here but only to other users like yourself who volunteer assistance as we can.

In your case I would suggest you try signing out of iCloud service on your Mac, then sign in again and check the status of Find My.


Also, you should never post personal info such as serial numbers. I've asked the community moderators to edit your post to remove that info.
