Since when I update my iPhone X to IOS 16.7.12
my WhatsApp notifications stopped working… even though I got a message… I must enter the app to receive the message.. this only happens on direct messages on my WhatsApp.. on groups the notifications comes up.. I have tried everything to no avail.. anyone have a solution?
or I should just wait for the next update maybe they can fix it in the next??
That would be something you'd want to get help from WhatsApp. WhatsApp is owned by Meta, not Apple and they are constantly having to update their apps, fixing one thing, while breaking something else.
Whether Meta will feel this is a priority for them on an much older iOS version is questionable. iOS 26.1 is the current iOS version but your iPhone is not capable of being updated past iOS 16.
