Since I upgraded my ISO to 1872 something like that my Hungarian language dictation it’s not recognize I have a new keyboard for it with the previous version I saw I had no problem I tried everything reset reinstall it just not working why are you doing that update And you lose your good setting

I don’t know if a vpn could mess up dictation, but probably worth trying removing it if a forced restart doesn’t help
Are you able to update to the latest iOS 26? If so, best try that.
Could you explain how you think the place of the letters has changed on the keyboard? Perhaps post a screenshot of what you are referring to.

How old is your iPad mini? 5th generation 2019 and later should run iOS 26.
Not so many users will still be on 18 and be able to help troubleshoot your problem, plus Apple is not going to fix anything broken in 18.
I did upgraded my operating system for 26 but still cannot get my second language to go it’s not on the list but I have done keyboard for it but the dictation doesn’t work and it was working before the update so what is all this updates are if the way back older one was working much better
I think I did reply previously not to the last discuss. update to the 26 version my operating. But the second language dictation is still not work only in the dictionary. The new keyboard didn’t help all the keys are in different sequence which I don’t really need. I need the spoken language. The fixing everything so why this is broken when it was working few version back I’m really disappointed
Thank you for the reply I tried the way you suggested also and tried several other ways but does not work something else probably leave it other setting which is preventing me to succeed, my biggest frustration is it didn’t work wonderful with the old versions. The keyboard itself change I’m menn the place of the letters but that’s not what I want to do I need the dictation, what else could I do
Hi, one more attempt to ask for help. I'm still trying at the dictation language page. I have the two language English and Hungarian, but only able to select one the English even if I deselect English, I'm not able to select Hungarian so have to be some kind of other things that I have to do which is preventing me to select Hungarian and of course I want boat which I did have in a previous versions of operating system

Are you saying that in settings / keyboard / dictation languages you see Hungarian but cannot check it like I have it as shown below?
Look like I cannot open your rest reply only in my email, anyway, thanks for the help and I might contact McAfee the virus software. Why are they doing that? I only renew it never thought that it's not gonna work when it was working before with the VPN.
How do you update when they don’t give you the option my option was to update up to 18 7.2. beside that I’m really hesitate to update anything else and screw up all my setting again.
It is sixth generation but I updated only when I’m getting the notification and the latest was the 18. I did see on the website the 26 update but there’s no option to update date for that
I tried dictating the words jó reggelt into Pages with Apple’s Hungarian qwertz keyboard active on my iPad mini and it seemed to work ok. Does that combination of app and keyboard not work for you?
English is fine doesn't matter what I choose always only English do you see that on the keyboard there is a Y instead of Z when is the Hungarian keyboard is on
In the keyboard settings you should be able to choose between qwertz, qwerty, and azerty layouts
