Apple Card inconsistency: Denied and accepted transactions, NYT subscription issues

I’ve started having difficulty with my Apple Card. It’s been denied and then accepted 15 seconds later when stores resubmit it.

My NYT subscription that I’ve had for decades suddenly stopped working because I was using my Apple Card. I had to cancel that subscription and reopen a new one under a different card.

Apple refused to refund my NYT subscription that was renewed in late October, that I was no longer able to use.

I’m starting to think using Apple Card is a mistake. Something very strange is going on with this company.

Have you spoken with an Apple Card Specialist at Goldman Sachs Bank about your experiences? It could be something as simple as a setting either on their end or your iPhone.


Just as a reference my wife and I both have Apple Cards, each with multiple subscriptions and they’ve worked flawlessly for years.
