M4 Mac mini Intermittent Lagging / Unresponsive

Over the past several days, my M4 Mac mini is stuttering / locking for around 10 seconds at a time. Mouse does not move at all, keyboard appears to stop working, but if I keep typing, whatever I'm typing snaps into the text box at the end of the lag period. Activity Monitor shows no major spikes -- only using 12GB of 24GB of memory, memory pressure is low, running very few apps at a time. This has never happened until a few days ago -- what can I do to diagnose or resolve this?

I can not help you with Microsoft products, FaceTime or Epic Games because I do not run any of those on my Mac's.

Hopefully someone with experience in those areas will come on board.

In the mean time based on your Reports Diagnostics information.

I advise using Safe Mode, as per Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support

and then Rebuild Spotlight, as per > Rebuild the Spotlight index on your Mac - Apple Support
