iPad erase pending despite not being lost or stolen

It says erase pending when I try to erase my ipad.My phone is not lost or stolen

As you are clearly attempting to erase your iPad, perhaps you attempted to trigger the remote erase process using the Find My App - or from your iCloud account. If so, the iPad will only erase when it receives the command to do so - which requires the target device to have an active internet connection (either WiFi or Cellular).


Performing an erase directly from iPad settings is far easier:

Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPad > Erase All Content and Settings
