Hi, I have an iMac 27" 2012 with Version 15.6.1 (15613.3.9.1.16, 15613) Safari, however I keep getting a message bar across the top of my screen saying "Update your browser, out of date, and has serious security risk." Apple says I have the latest version so why do I keep getting these warnings?

because you have the latest safari that runs on Catalina. but it is a safari that is 4 versions behind. and your macOS is 6 versions behind. things will only get worse moving forward. it might be time to consider an alternative browser, such as Firefox.
