Need a bit of assistance here. I have Apple TV 4K with the Siri Remote. I have done the learning procedure to add the basic buttons for IR control. How do I switch the remote to use the IR commands instead of controlling the Apple TV directly. Running TVos26.
basically trying to use the Siri Remote for controlling the tv overall so I can use some of the tv functions with the Siri remote

Go to Settings ➜ Remotes & Devices ➜ Home Theater Control ➜ Volume Control.
If set to Auto, the Apple TV determines what method to use automatically.
You can set it to TV via IR to force it.
Don't expect most or any Tv functions to work from the Siri Remote beyond volume though. It's designed to control volume and not much else.
