Didn’t receive 3-month free Apple Music / TV+ with new devices (Canada – previously had subscriptions)

Hi everyone,

I recently bought two brand-new devices directly from Apple Canada — a MacBook (July 2025) and an iPhone (October 2025). Both are set up with my main Apple ID, and my region is Canada.

I noticed Apple offers 3 months free of Apple Music and Apple TV+ when you buy a new device. However, I didn’t see any free-trial offer appear on either device.

After checking Apple’s terms, I realized it might be because I had paid subscriptions to both Apple Music and Apple TV+ in the past under this same Apple ID.

Can anyone confirm if the “3-month free” new-device promotion only applies to new subscribers who’ve never paid for or trialed the service before?

If that’s the case, is there any way to still receive a new-device bonus (like extended trials or credits), or is it strictly once-per-Apple ID regardless of new purchases?

Typically you cannot take advantage of more than one free trial. You could take advantage of a purchase bonus if you had not previously subscribed to those items, even if you had ignored a previous bonus.

- You may be billed immediately for a free trial if you or a Family Sharing member has already once had a free trial for that item. In that case you will see immediate subscription commencement information on the authorization page.
