Is it normal for a Mac to get loud and hot randomly?

My Mac keeps doing this thing where it randomly gets loud + hot for like 20–30 seconds and then relaxes like nothing happened.

I’ll literally just have Safari + Notes open and it starts acting like it's exporting a Pixar movie 😭

Is this normal behavior?

Or should I reset something / clean up CPU background tasks?

I’m trying to figure out whether this is just “Mac being Mac” or if there's something I should look into — maybe background processes, storage cleanup, or activity monitor tricks?

Also, I was messing around with this brat generator online when this happened because humor helps deal with tech stress 😅 so I turned the moment into a meme.

Most issues like that will be caused by third party software. Run the third party app EtreCheck and post the complete report here so we can examine it for clues.
