I used to be able to unlock my macbook pro (2015) with my apple watch but recently it hasn't been working. I checked my settings and the option has completely dissapeared. I made sure my wifi and bluetooth is on for both devices and the two-factor authentication is on aswell. I tried restarting both devices but nothing is working out.

what exact macOS
what exact watchOS
Does this Mac have touchID ...?

No resolve sign out of your Apple Account on your Mac > System Settings>AppleID/Account
and back in again and compare your results
