Take a screenshot of the content of Airplay
When you stream a video to a supported display using AirPlay, it’s not possible to take a screenshot of the video itself. For example, when you use AirPlay to watch a YouTube video on a TV, only the video’s thumbnail appears on your iPad. If you try to take a screenshot, it only captures what’s shown on the iPad screen—not the video playing on the TV.
While studying, I often take screenshots of important parts of a video (such as questions or images) and add them to my digital notes. This works perfectly when I’m studying directly on my iPad. However, when I switch to watching the video on a bigger screen, I have to disconnect AirPlay every time I want to take a screenshot, then reconnect it again. It becomes a repetitive and time-consuming process.
It would be great if there were an option to take a screenshot of the content being streamed via AirPlay. For instance, a setting like “Allow screenshots of AirPlay content” that users can turn on or off as needed. I believe this would significantly improve the user experience, especially for people who study or take notes from video content.
