AirPod pro 3 dosnt always announce who’s calling

right now I have my settings set to announce calls when AirPods are in. Sometimes it will come through my AirPods and other times it will scream who’s calling on my phone when my air pods are in. It’s never consistent and annoying. Anyone else having these issues. If I turn off don’t announce then it won’t do anything. Wish it would just work the way it did before I updated my phone and with the AirPod pro 2
