AirPods Pro 3 crackling noises and screeching

Hello,

My new AAPP 3 are not operating consistently well. If I take the airpods out whilst ANC is on, they screech a high-pitched noise, reminiscent of what happens when people with hearing aids in cover their ears, but inside my ear canal.

They are also randomly crackling when in transparency mode, as if the non-existent 3.5 mm jack isn't quite seated correctly in the the similarly non-existent socket.

I do have AppleCare, but wondering if this is a hardware/current firmware issue that anyone else is experiencing.
