Sharing connection to portable BOSE Flex

I’m sharing my answer to an issue I have been struggling with and it sounds like the community has too. And that is audio not playing through the MacBook Air laptop from Bose portable speaker. If all the Bluetooth sharing connections show connection, go to SOUND in Apple settings and select output from Bose flex soundlink. End of story.
