Applecare+ purchased in India Valid in USA

Hello ,

I recently purchased a Macbook air in India and I am moving to US for further studies . Does AppleCare+ purchased in India be helpful in USA ? For instance , if I crack my screen while using it in the US or for some other issue ? Will the benefits of AppleCare+ purchased in India will benefit me in such a situation in US ?
