Voice Memo Files Missing Data
I’ve recently upgraded to a new iPhone. Both my old iPhone and the new iPhone are running iOS26.
I backed up all of the files and data that I required from my old device to iCloud. I set up the new device and synced with iCloud and most of the files and data transferred over properly.
The issue that I am having is that the recordings in the “Voice Memos” app seems to have an issue, or is corrupted in some way.
On the old device, full recordings are available and playable in Voice Memos.
On the new device all of the recording names show, but on a few recordings the duration shows as “0:00” and the files are not playable.
On my Mac, the files do show witi their full duration (even the ones that show 0:00 on the new phone), but they are not fully playable. For example, only 12 seconds of a a 3 minute recording is playable.
Before I reset my old phone and dispose of it, how do I sync the recordings from Voice Memos (with all metadata) to iCloud and my new device?
