MacBook Stuck on Internet Recovery

Hi everyone. I have a MacBook Air 2018 Intel processor. Currently it has a problem right now. The screen is stuck in internet recovery with the globe moving. When selecting a wifi network and entering my wifi password, the cursor lags a lot. When I try going back to another recovery and even resetting the SMC and NVRAM by using the keyboard, it dosent work at all and continues to go on the same internet recovery screen. Somehow, the MacBook turns on randomly to the internet recovery even after I shut it down. Even, as I close it the fan comes on and when I open it without pressing any button, once again, the internet recovery comes back. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Try booting into Internet Recovery Mode using Command + Option + R to bypass the local recovery mode.

Try going to another local location to try accessing Internet Recovery Mode in order to bypass any possible issues with your own home network & ISP.

You may need to try a DFU Firmware Revive, but this requires access to another Mac currently running macOS 26.x Tahoe (or possibly even macOS 15.x Sequoia).

If none of this helps, then you can try taking it to the Apple Store or an AASP for assistance & evaluation. If they deem there is a hardware issue with the laptop, then I highly recommend you take the money you would have spent on repairs put towards a new laptop. I don't recommend repairing any of the 2016-2020 Intel Macs with USB-C ports for multiple reasons.
