Reminders stops working after a while

This has been going on for years. When you leave Reminders open for days it becomes unresponsive. The UI seems to work and you can move around. But try to complete a reminder and the circle fills in but nothing happens. You have to quit and restart. I thought initially it was something to do with running on my MacBook and it going to sleep. But it also does it on my Mac Studio that doesn't go to sleep. I am always running latest of everything. I recall seeing others talking about this but never found a resolution.

Not sure I have a solution, but let me say this.

I am not a fan of Reminders to start.

One thing to try is to turn off Reminders in Settings>iCloud, wait till they go away and then turn them back on. May take a few minutes for all of them to come back. Check how many you have so you know how many to expect back when re-synching

I would do this on each Macs, iPads, or phones , so all of them resynch with iCloud.

Also, make sure you are not over the limits.

I really would choose another app as I have had similar issues before I got a bit smarter.

Hope this helps,
