playlists and checking and unchecking songs apple music on pc

Long story, but when I did a back up on my music files for the windows 11 update, all the songs and playlists disappeared on apple music, except for purchased songss. So i've been adding them back to the app using the itunes files.

But there is no way to check or uncheck a song in the song list nor in a playlist. I'm sure hope i'm overlooking it.

Also, would there be a file for a playlist in file explorer or do i just need to

recreate the playlists as the playlists I had are no longer there.
