The photo library on my iPhone and my MacBook Air match. They used to be the same. Now they are different. It happened after the latest update. The update also restored all my deleted emails to my inbox. That was a mess. Thanks for any help.

Have you been syncing the photos on your devices with iCloud Photos? Then you may want to check, if iCloud Photos is still enabled in the settings for iCloud > Photos .
And have. look at the status of the iCloud syncing. The syncing ma be paused to save battery power.
jimicocobop, In what way are the photo libraries on your Mac and iPhone different? Can you please tell us a bit more? Are you missing photos on one of the devices? Ore albums?
Where are you keeping the Photos Library on your Mac? Is it on an external drive or in your Pictures folder? Are you syncing the iPhone and your MBA with iCloud Photos?
I have a photo app on my phone that says "Photo" that looks like a colorful flower. I have the same app on my computer. I don't know if they are on my phone or in the cloud. I have stage four cancer and am not as sharp as I used to be. They are not the same, but they used to be.
