Folders not showing up in file search (Seqouia 15.7.1)
I recently upgraded to Seqouia 15.7.1, and now when I do a file search, no folders show up. I have confirmed that there is still a folder with the name I was searching for.

Go to System Settings, select Spotlight, select Privacy, and then drag or add your entire hard drive to that Privacy list. This basically turns off spotlight for the drive. Then exit Settings. Then return to Settings and remove the drive from the Privacy list. This forces the MacOS to recreate the index that Spotlight uses. This can take anywhere fro 30 minutes to a few hours to complete, depending on size of disk and speed of the Mac. If you click on Spotlight, it will indicate that it is indexing, in which case just be patient until it finishes.
This is the first level "fix" and it usually works. There are second order fixes that require Terminal and the command line but hopefully this will resolve it for you.
Meanwhile, you can download and install Find Any File, which actually is a better search engine as it searches in some folders that Spotlight will not.
