DV Tape importing from Panasonic NV-GS300

I have the required cables to connect my old Panasonic DV Camcorder and am trying to transfer to my iMac. The device shows in iMovie on the top left of the screen per the attached but the actual recording on the DV tape doesn't show. Any thoughts?
