Longtime Podcast stream won't update with new podcasts

About a month ago, my longtime podcast stream, TechNation Radio, was suddenly archived. We brought it back from archive, and started posting again ... since then, we can publish episodes every week on all the other podcast venues ... but TechNation Radio doesn't add any new ones!!! We've been through support and reset, and there are no changes on our podcast servers side that we can determine.

Can you help? Moira

If you subscribe on a Mac, where the feed is read directly, the latest episode was posted yesterday (episoed 25-420. However as you say Apple Podcasts online (iTune Store as was) still only shows episodes up to 27 September. So this is Apple Podcasts failing to update.

This might possiblly be caused by something in the feed which has upset Apple Podcasts but not the Podcasts App - unusual but it's been known. If you post the URL of the feed I will see if anything catches my eye. However it's more likely that Apple Podcasts has just stuck, and that's been known before. In that case the only thing you can do is to ask Podcasts Support to refresh the feed - https://podcastsconnect.apple.com/contact-us (not getsupport.apple.com who don't deal with podcasts).

The feed validates apart from complaining about HTML in the descriptions - I wouldn't worry about that. I don't see anything likely to cause a problem.

The search you made has picked up the web page version of Apple Podcasts, which is the same as you see in 'Browse' on a Mac. Subscribing on a Mac (at least up to Catalina, I don't know about later systems) bypasses Apple Podcasts and reads the feed directly, which is why you see the later episodes there.

Support seem to think you are asking about a problem with your feed - they don't deal with that. Contact them again, make it clear that the feed validates, that it can be subcribed to on a Mac and show all the episodes, and that the problem appears to be Apple Podcasts not picking up updates from the feed since it was unarchived.

Hello Roger!

Already more enlightened by your reply!

First of all, have been through the podcasts connect route twice now, it did not update, and they declared they were not technical, and referred me to the community.

I am using a Dell, btw, and I have a podcast admin (just posts the episodes) in Ireland.

Ok - when I google "technation radio apple podcast" - I get 25-37 AI Snake Oil.

When I google "technation radio itunes podcast"- I get 25-37 AI Snake Oil, also.

But you see the post on the actual Apple Mac stream! And it's correct (25-42 What are ancient myths...) - That's progress. If you can help me see it as well, that would be great.

Now to your actual question - The URL of the feed is https://technation.podomatic.com/rss2.xml

Thank you! Moira
